After reading the short stories, I have been having two questions, one being, “whether the identity crises faced by the characters in the stories are self-made or are imposed by the society?” And “if the female characters face more alienation than the male characters”. It is seen in the series of stories by Susan that the narrator and her mother have been in the constant quest in searching for something but unable to find the same.
